A Hidden Gem in Antique Side

A home of hospitality, warmth and stories for over 46 years, nestled in the heart of Old Town Side where ancient ruins, ocean air and slow mornings meet. Alchemy Rooms is an adults-only bed & breakfast.

Alchemy Rooms first opened in 1978, when Murat's parents welcomed backpackers to a small guest house. In 1995 Murat met Jo, a guest who later became his partner in both life and hospitality, and together they created the Alchemy Rooms of today. During renovations in 2019, ancient ruins and mosaics believed to be part of the old marketplace beside the Grand Bathhouse were uncovered beneath the property, now visible from our peaceful glassed garden.

Our four deluxe rooms, three doubles and one twin, are designed for comfort, rest and ease. Each room carries views across Ancient Side, with glimpses of the sea. Every stay includes air conditioning, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, fluffy towels, slippers, toiletries, beach towels and a laptop safe.

The Grand Bathhouse rests beside us, the beach is just 100 metres away, and the Apollo Temple, Amphitheatre, Side Museum, beautiful restaurants and little shops are all a gentle stroll away.

Accommodation is booked on a room-only basis, with the option to enjoy our delicious village breakfast, served in our tranquil garden. We can also arrange a private transfer from Antalya direct to our door.

Getting to Alchemy Rooms

Nearest airport: Antalya International Airport, about 70 km away.

Private transfer: we can arrange a private transfer from Antalya Airport direct to our door in a comfortable minibus with free Wi-Fi and soft drinks. The service costs 45 EUR, payable to the driver.

By car: Side Old Town is a car-free zone, but you are allowed to drive to Alchemy Rooms to drop off your luggage. At security, tell the guard you are staying at Alchemy Rooms (Murat Ozden), and we will show you where to park for free.

By coach: the coach from Antalya Airport is the longest route and can take many hours for a journey of about one hour.
